4 Fun Thanksgiving Hats for Kids -Printable
These 4 Fun Thanksgiving Hats for Kids are a great way to explain how Thanksgiving began. Let your kids color & craft their own DIY Thanksgiving Hats. Indian, Pilgrim, Bonnet, or Turkey, choose one or color them all!
This is a craft great to add to a study of Indigenous People (like this one from Gather Round). My kids love learning about their ancestors while creating something neat with their hands.
Hats for any occasion turn even the most boring day upside down. If you give kids a hat to cut, color, and create it seems like the creative play just pours out of them. All of a sudden they are Pilgrims on the Mayflower, running to America for freedom, battling storms, meeting Indians, and having one adventure after another.
Creativity is endless with these 4 Thanksgiving Hats. So shut off the tv, give them a box of crayons, and let the imagination begin!

How to make your very own Thanksgiving Hats
To make your own Indian style hat you will need to print it on card stock so it stands on your child’s head correctly. Next, Let them color all of the pieces then cut them out. I chose to use tape instead of staples today, but you could use either.
Tape the feathers to the hatband, then cut or tape the hatband to fit your child’s head.
The other hats just need to be colored, cut out, and taped to a band.
