How to Make Winter Snowman Door Hangers
First, make sure you have good quality cardstock. This snowman Christmas door hanger template can be printed on regular paper and reinforced with construction paper or cardboard for durability. However, printing on cardstock from the start helps to skip the extra step of creating this snow day door hanger activity.

Little hands love makers so if you choose to use those, please use the washable markers. Those are easier to clean up than the regular kind. I learned that the hard way when my kid drew a mustache on his face.

Crayons or colored pencils are best for this set of free Christmas printables. The tiny Christmas trees can be colored a lot easier with some sharpened colored pencils. Each tree can be its color or an ombre of whites, greens, and blues.
Each printable page has 2 door hangers. Cut the paper in half each with a door hanger and let your kids choose which one they want for their door decoration.
Good ol’ crayons will work the best for your smaller children. You can even set up a holiday fun table for crafts, with colors, ribbons, pom poms, stick glue, and construction paper. They can create their own letter for Santa claus, a gingerbread man, or even a gingerbread house.

If your older kids love to color be sure to give them plenty of time to finish their snowman crafts. They also might love this DIY Snowflake Matching Game for the younger children. The matching game is so much fun and a great way for your whole family to play together.
Help your kids cut out their door hangers or if they’re old enough to cut by themselves. One of my kids is left handed and she has several pair of left handed scissors but this one is the best. Cutting is one of those critical functions for the learning process it not only helps hand-eye coordination but also, helps brain development with everything new your kids learn.

If your kids want to keep their winter door hanger longer then you will need a Laminator and sheets. I use this laminator all the time and it really helped with the longevity of some of the kid’s beautiful creations.
Some of their hand-painted art or finished coloring pages that I want to keep but don’t have a frame for I’ve run through the laminator with great success. This would also be a perfect addition to the winter decorations that you get out each year.

Instructions
- Print the door hangers on cardstock for durability.
- Color the picture.
- Cut out the door hanger
- Hang your winter door hanger on your door knob.
Notes
If you printed these door hangers on regular paper and you would like them to be a little thicker. Glue to a piece of construction paper and then cut around the door hanger the same way you cut out the door decoration earlier. The construction paper will make the Winter door hanger last a little longer.
Laminate for long term use.
