Make your rice crispie treats!
Make 2 batches of The Perfect Rice Crispie Treats recipe, one with regular rice crispies and the second batch with chocolate rice crispies. Pour out each batch on a cookie sheet and press together in a 1/2 inch thick rectangle (see the video above because I forgot to take a picture).
Melt your chocolate!
Melt 1 or 2 squares of your chocolate almond bark in the microwave string every 30 seconds.
Use your cookie cutters!
Once your Rice Crispie Treats are set you can start cutting out spooky treats with your cookie cutters. I used a skull, spiderweb, ghost, bat and pumpkin. You can use whatever is on hand or at your local store (check TJ Maxx they always have cute cookie cutters).
Time to decorate your Simple Spooky Halloween Treats!
Cover the tops of your rice crispie treats with either white chocolate almond bark, regular chocolate almond bark, or colored chocolate melts. Decorating time! Gently lay one the candy eyes, sprinkles, or pipe on chocolate faces (again see the video).
