How to find Art Party Favor Supplies for Cheap
Initial Art Party Favor art projects are not only easy but cheap to make. The best way to save money on this goody bag is to plan ahead and buy what is on sale. Here are a few ideas I used to make these great party favor ideas a little more inexpensive.
If you are close to a Hobby Lobby wait and grab these letters when they’re on sale kids party favors should be fun to make. For these creative party favors, you can either put one letter in each sack for the first name or all of their initials. This will depend on your budget I would only buy one per child unless you find letters on sale super cheap. The paint palettes and brushes are the cheapest on Amazon in bulk, if you only need a few try checking your local craft store, Walmart’s craft isle, dollar stores, or the Dollar Tree.
Choose cute party favor bags or brown paper gift bags, or a plain black bag. Want another craft? Grab a small canvas reusable bag, or muslin bag for each child so the kids to decorate later. Be sure to put a name on each bag in permanent marker. You don’t want the kids to lose their goodie bags. Pretty much anything can be turned into art so keep that in mind while creating your own painting party. If you find some things on sale add them as extra favors to each treat bag.
Pick the unused paint that you have or that’s at your local craft store. I choose an acrylic paint set and divided it out between the party favor bags. One or 2 per child. You will need good paint. The thick watercolor set that you find in the art section of a craft store not the kid version of watercolors and definitely not finger paint. The paint needs to be able to cover the brown paper mache letter.
For these creative party favors, you can either put one letter in each sack for the first name or all of their initials. This will depend on your budget I would only buy one per child unless you find letters on sale super cheap. Goodie bags don’t have to be pretty they just have to be fun!
What can Kids do at an Art Themed Birthday Party?
Art parties are a lot of fun but sometimes you need a little help with ideas to get started. Art being a theme of the party is so much fun to choose especially when you get to pick lots of party activities for the kids to do.
A better way to plan an art party is to use what you have first. Even bubbles with a little food coloring can be a fun way for kids to not only make something pretty to float in the air but also by creating their own art. Using a straw dip the end into a dyed bubble solution and then blow through the straw onto a paper. Once the paper is decorated let it dry and the kids can take home their new art.
Do you have extra salt? Grab some Elmer’s glue make some fun designs and then shake the salt on top.
Get your creative juices flowing think about how things can be turned into so fun art. Sidewalk chalk is a great idea to have out front so the party guests can write their names as they come into the house. Keep extra art supplies on the tables with even circle shapes of cardboard that kids can decorate. There are so many different ways to keep kids busy with fun almost free art so you and your child put your party hats on and come up with some ingenious ideas! Even art party food can be fun, by letting the kids paint and decorate their own cookies or cupcakes.
