Super Easy Cat Wand

I like Hobby Lobby. No.. that’s not right.. I LOVE Hobby Lobby! Why? Because if you wait long eventually everything is half off.

I went in just to look one day and found myself down the wood isle. Ryker, my son, picked up a bag of wooden shapes and sparked an idea in me. What idea? Oh, you’ll see! Get ready for lots of wooden crafts this year! Like this Super Easy Cat Wand, DIY Witch Hat Necklace, or this Quick Craft Spider Wand.

What you will need

Ribbon for decoration
Fun Eyeballs
Hot glue gun and sticks
Black paint, paint brush and plate
Black glitter
3 Orange glitter pipe cleaners
Scissors,
Small glue stick to wrap pipe cleaners around
Black foam sheet or a wooden heart will work. I couldn’t find one so I used foam.
Wooden teardrop shapes (If you cant find any try these)
Wooden circle
Jumbo Wood Popsicle stick

First thing first! I didn’t give you exact sizes of these wooden shapes and there’s a reason for that.. I don’t know what you have available to you in your area. So do the best that you can with what you have. I believe you can do it!

Start by painting all of your wooden pieces black. Set aside to let dry. Once the top isn’t tacky to the touch, flip over and paint the other side.

Cut out a foam heart or use a wooden heart, don’t forget to paint it black.

Glitter will stick! See, easy!

Now that your wooden pieces are dry glue them together.

As long as your shapes look similar to a cat it’s perfect!

Glue on your eyeballs. This will help you decide where to put your nose and whiskers.

Make your cat’s whiskers curly by wrapping the orange pipe cleaner around a small glue stick. Do this to all 3 pipe cleaners then find the middle of each, lay them together and twist to lock them in place.
